Since debuting in 2011, Nev has become a true Blues Twos legend. Described by his peers as a utility, swingman, stalwart, coach and spiritual leader, he has dominated forward, back and in the ruck, at Thirds, Reserves and Senior level over his career. Nev is blessed with a high football IQ and he attacks the game like his footballing idols - Glenn Archer, Anthony Stevens and Mick Martyn. Arguably, Pat is the best MBFC footballer to come out of the Greater Bendigo region in the last 15 years.
Traditionally known as a power athlete, in 2022 we have witnessed a rebranded, leaner "Festival Nev" patrolling opposition back 50s. Well done Longy. We're looking forward to the crowd yelling “Nnnneevvvv” every time you go near it for many more matches to come!
