Applications Invited - Men's Senior Assistant Coach

The Monash Blues Football Club is seeking a Men's Senior Assistant Coach for the upcoming 2026 season. Affiliated with the VAFA, the Men's Senior side will be in the Division 1 competition next year. Based at the Clayton Campus at Monash University, the Club fielded six Men's and Women's football teams in Season 2025 and has a strong affiliation with the University which provides the Club with excellent facilities for both training and matches.

The Assistant Coach will work with the Senior Coach to lead and direct the Men’s football program in conjunction with the Clubs Coaching Director, General Manager and wider Committee. After underperforming for several seasons, the Club is ready to bounce back strongly and requires a capable and motivated individual to support the Senior Coach to drive this improvement and create sustainable success. The successful candidate will work alongside our club staff, committee and playing group to ensure the highest standards are driven across the Club.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Previous coaching and leadership experience in a similar club environment
  • A passion to drive a strong and inclusive culture
  • Dedication to the growth and development of footballers and young men
  • The ability to effectively communicate both on and off field, develop skills, football knowledge and provide regular feedback to groups and individuals
  • An ability to work in collaboration with others to achieve success
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills

Requirements

  • Level 1 or above AFL Coaching Accreditation
  • Previous relevant community football coaching experience is required
