The Ashes Have a General Manager

The Monash Blues Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Shane Chapman to the position of General Manager in 2026. There aren’t many roles that Muncha hasn’t taken on at the Club and now we are excited to see what he brings to this new post. Shane will continue as Women’s Senior Coach in 2026 as well.

Upon being appointed as our new GM, Shane said “It’s an incredible honour to step into the role of General Manager at a club that has been such a huge part of my life for the past 25 years. Having had the privilege to play and coach here, I’ve seen first-hand what makes this club special. I’ve met so many amazing Monash people, and the culture and inclusive, welcoming environment keeps me coming back. I’m proud to continue giving back in this new role and committed to helping build a strong, inclusive and successful future for everyone involved.”
