We are the VAFA Premier C Men's Champions!

This was genuinely a Premiership three years in the making. Our Premier C Men's campaign started with a season that never was, continued through a season cut short and ended in Premiership glory against a committed and hard opponent on a windy Friday afternoon in Sandringham.

Two points in arrears at quarter time, a 2.4 to 1.0 second quarter saw us head back to the sheds with an 8 point lead after an arm-wrestle of a first half. After a strong into-the-wind third quarter effort, our boys headed into the huddle for Coach Mark Passador's final inspirational speech with a 19 point advantage. A goal to both Monash Blues and Old Geelong in the final stanza and we came away with the Premiership Cup and both clubs now get to continue the rivalry in 2023, next time in Premier B Men's.

Thank you to all of our players - Men's and Women's, Seniors, Reserves, Unders, Thirds and Fourths; to Pass for his leadership over six seasons (a few of which were like none we've ever seen); to Al and Alfie and all of the coaches and assistants that kept each of our teams on the park week in, week out; to Whitey and all of our team managers; to Jim C and all of our runners; to Kate and Joe S for helping Pas out on match days; to Brad for his tireless work for all of our teams; to Carry, Ella and the committee for their work not just this season but throughout these recent years that have seen so many clubs and competitions struggle to survive; to Jo, our trainers, physios and S&C staff for keeping us out on the field or helping us back from injury; to Jimmy for time-keeping and running the scoreboard; to our photographers; and to everyone who umpired, ran the boundary, goal umpired, time-kept or ran water to the players throughout the season. Thanks to the players and family members who ran the afternoon teas, post-training dinners, post-match bar and finals barbeque. And, finally, to our partners, family, friends, supporters, former players and clubmates who supported us throughout the season... thank you all!
