When the global pandemic shutdown the 2021 VAFA Premier C competition our Senior Men’s side was in top position and looking forward to a looming finals series and aiming for a prompt return to the Premier B section.
In 2022 the Men’s teams are again lead by former VFL, SANFL and Old Scotch forward Mark Passador who is excited by the challenge of ensuring a return to Premier B in the near future.
Mark’s passion for sport and understanding of the role it plays in helping to provide a balanced lifestyle for students and young professionals is well aligned to the philosophy of the club to provide for the sporting, educational and social needs of players.
With four open age Men’s teams, the Club is able to cater for a range of football skills and backgrounds from former NAB League and VFL players through to international students looking to try their hand at a new sport.
While all teams aim to be as competitive as possible on the field the Senior and Reserves teams primarily comprise players with a high level of skill and experience, the Thirds are usually young, up-and-coming players whilst the Fourths cater for those who are starting out in football or less able to commit to the demands time and fitness demands of the more competitive grades.
Movement is encouraged and it is not uncommon for players to start off in the Thirds, or occasionally the Fourths, and be playing Reserves or even Seniors by the end of the season.
Regardless of which grade you play in (or if your role is in an off-field support capacity) all members have access to the same social, educational support and networking opportunities that the Club provides.
