The Monash University Football Club was formed in 1961 and established itself as a member of the VAFA in 1962. As the University grew, so did the Football Club. A second side was formed in 1964 and played in F Grade; before it was replaced by a Junior side in 1966. As numbers continued to grow, a second Seniors side was formed in 1971. To differentiate the two Senior sides, one became known as the Blues and the ‘new' side became the Whites.

The Whites and the Blues were dedicated in their passion to play for the same Turquoise and Silver jumper and in 2000 the Club was reunited under the Monash Blues banner, with the Whites forming the third senior side and playing in the VAFA Club XVIII competition.

The Club is expanded further in 2017 with the inclusion of a women’s team in the inaugural VAFA competition.
